Terms of Service

What the Service does

Content Drop accepts audio or video you upload and processes it into transcripts, summaries, social clips, and other derived content, using third-party AI providers (see “Third-Party Processing” below). Processed content is stored in your account's Library, searchable and reusable later. If you connect social accounts, the Service can publish content to those platforms on your behalf, only when you explicitly initiate a publish action.

Your account

You need an account to use the Service, authenticated via email and a one-time sign-in code. You're responsible for anything that happens under your account. Don't share your sign-in access. Tell us immediately at db@digitalalchemy.dev if you think your account has been compromised.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. It is not directed at children.

Payment and access

Access is purchased through Stripe. Purchases are processed by Stripe directly, we never see or store your full card number. Unless stated otherwise at time of purchase, sales are final and non-refundable once processing on your uploaded content has started, because the underlying AI processing cost is incurred immediately. If something went wrong on our end, email us and we'll sort it out on a case-by-case basis.

Your content, your ownership

You own everything you upload, and you own the transcripts, clips, and derived content the Service generates from it. We don't claim ownership of your content, ever.

What you grant us is a limited license: the right to process, store, transmit, and display your content strictly to provide the Service to you, including sending it to the third-party processors listed below. That license ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to the retention/deletion notes in our Privacy Policy.

You're responsible for having the rights to whatever you upload. Don't upload content you don't have the right to process, publish, or distribute. If you connect a social account and use the publish feature, you're responsible for what gets posted, we execute the publish action you request, we don't review or approve the content first.

Third-party processing

To provide the Service, your uploaded audio/video and its transcript are sent to third-party providers for processing, currently including Google (Gemini API, for transcription and content generation) and Deepgram (for speaker diarization, when that feature is used). Those providers process your content under their own terms and privacy policies, not ours; we choose vendors carefully but can't control their infrastructure directly. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to process content you don't have rights to
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the Service
• Use automated tools to abuse rate limits or circumvent access controls
• Upload malware, or content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates someone else's rights
• Use the Service to impersonate someone else without their consent

We can suspend or terminate access for violating these terms.

No warranty, limited liability

The Service is provided “as is.” AI-generated transcripts and content can contain errors, we don't guarantee accuracy, and you're responsible for reviewing AI output before publishing or relying on it. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
